My name is Alexander Kwiecien (KWay-SHun), but everyone calls me Xander. I am a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Communications: Radio-Television-Film and a Bachelor of Journalism at the Moody College of Communication. I will be seeking a Master of Arts in Media Studies from the University of Texas, starting in the Fall of 2024.
I am the Host and Executive Producer of "The What's UPDATE with Xander Kwiecien," a satirical take on the real news of the previous weeks. As part of the show, I do an interview segment called "Who You? What Do? and Why?" I have been very lucky to interview some amazing guests like Jeff "Swampy" Marsh, the co-creator of Disney's Phineas and Ferb, Jim Beaver from Deadwood, Supernatural, and The Boys, Tim Russ from Star Trek Voyager, Richard Horvitz of Invader Zim, Psychonauts, and Helluva Boss, and Emmy® and Peabody Award winner Madeleine Smithberg, the co-creator of The Daily Show.
I have been interested in performing and theatre for as long as I can remember. I continue to train in acting, improvisation, comedy, singing, and dancing. When I have spare time (I rarely have spare time), I like playing video games and Dungeons and Dragons.
